World Cancer day has come around once again and I can’t help but take a moment to really appreciate life and all the wonders that come with it.
For many of us, one way or another we have been linked to Cancer or experienced the devastation of loosing a loved one close to our hearts. Around 2 years ago I lost my Grandad to the dreaded disease, the closest it’s ever hit home. It was truely a terrible period and I will treasure all memories shared with him before his passing.
Through experiencing this it has taught me never to take life for granted. We are so use to leaning on the comfort of ‘tommorow’ and often delay taking the necessary steps in achieving our dreams now!
This year, it’s not about being a new version of myself. Im accepting every flaw, twists and turns and mistakes made in the process. Take a second to realise how far your journey has taken you and what it has allowed you to achieve.
This post is dedicated to all those who have lost their life to Cancer. As we progress with technology I pray that we reach a breakthrough and find a cure. Take a second to appreciate life and make it your priority to reach your goals. There’s no better time than the present to make a change.
